
Under the slogan “Health is a Crown on the Heads of the Healthy,” the College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a health awareness festival.

As part of the field week activities, the college collaborated with the Wasit Health Department, Public Health Division. On the first day, the Non-Communicable Diseases Department held an informative lecture titled “Non-Communicable Diseases.” Dr. Maha Abdulqadir Abdulsttar, the director of the Non-Communicable Diseases Department, delivered the lecture along with several researchers and specialists. The lecture covered several topics: 1. Introduction to the dangers of non-communicable diseases. 2. Hypertension and diabetes, and the assessment of risk factors presented by Dr. Hussam Adnan, responsible for the Integrated Care Program. 3. World Hearing Day, presented by Dr. Maha Abdulqadir, the director of the Non-Communicable Diseases Department. 4. Eye problems associated with computer use, presented by Optician Huda Kareem Nasser. 5. Tobacco control and National No Smoking Day, presented by Medical Technician Abdullah Kazem, responsible for the Tobacco Control Program. The event concluded with the celebration of National Hearing Day and activities such as blood pressure and diabetes screening, risk factor assessment, and eye examinations for interested participants and attendees.
