
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organizes a scientific seminar on the contributions of sustainable development in the academic, educational, and pedagogical fields.

As part of Sustainability Week activities, the College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a seminar titled “Contributions of Sustainable Development in the Academic Field.” The seminar, presented by Mr. Ali Ismail Al-Jaff and Mr. Ali Youssef, aims to provide purposeful developmental lectures and sessions to enhance the capacities and potentials of professors and students, achieving qualitative thinking in adopting standardized sustainable development goals in students’ projects, programs, and curricula. This is particularly emphasized in graduation projects to achieve creative and innovative thinking. The seminar addressed a range of practical scientific information and details, in which professors and students participated through discussion and purposeful dialogue, characterized by information that aligns with the university’s and college’s projects, goals, and programs. The developmental goal is to improve outputs, develop inputs, and focus on environmental upbringing ethics, as the core of sustainable development is to optimize the investment of available natural resources for the current and future generations. Colonel Biologist Hani Mohsen Dakheel participated in aspects of prevention, protection, and the role of sustainable development in maintaining a safe environment for creativity, innovation, and excellence. It has a real role in creating a supportive atmosphere for individual and collective aspirations. Dean of the College of Computer Science, Dr. Saif Ali Al-Saadi, attended the developmental meetings and shared with participants quality ideas about the items, ideas, and axes of sustainable development, especially the programs and projects currently planned by the college to include the employment and investment of students’ ideas in digitization, technology, and modern techniques, to turn them into purposeful programs and projects that serve service and productive institutions. Al-Saadi spoke about the importance of the role of openness to creative and distinguished individuals in our local institutions to contribute to creating supportive environments for their academic aspirations. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the efforts of administrative and media staff, and Al-Jaff provided a copy of his new works in the scientific development field to the College of Computer’s library to contribute to enriching the library with modern scientific sources that meet the aspirations of students and professors in a pioneering and qualitative manner.
