Initiated by the assistant dean, Dr. Saif Ali Abdulredha Al Saadi, and in collaboration with the Wasit Health Department, the college held an informative lecture addressing the topic of osteoporosis and related diseases. The lecture focused on the causes and preventive measures of osteoporosis, highlighting factors leading to increased risk, symptoms, diagnostic methods, and treatment options. The lecture was delivered by senior medical technician Abdul Alah Mahdi, who discussed chronic kidney disease, and medical technician Amjad Farqad, who presented on obesity, its symptoms, diagnosis, causes, preventive measures, and important nutritional advice. Finally, the technical lecturer Rabab Jasim Majid addressed the use of medical substances, substance abuse, addiction, types of drugs, reasons for drug use, withdrawal symptoms, methods of drug administration, and addiction treatment. This initiative is part of the college’s efforts to raise health awareness and provide necessary information to students, faculty members, and staff to improve the quality of their health and life.
