The event was attended by the esteemed Dr. Mazen Hasan Al-Husseini, the president of Wasit University, and the respected Assistant Professor Dr. Saif Ali Al-Saadi, the dean of the college, along with other dignitaries, professors, and students. The festival, held in commemoration and honor of the heroic efforts of our forces in various capacities, featured speeches highlighting the significant role of the heroic security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces in achieving victory over terrorist gangs. The university president emphasized their pivotal role, while the dean reflected on the early moments of the victorious jihad and the courageous battles fought to defend the homeland. The event included a theatrical performance summarizing the injustices endured by the Iraqi people under the previous regime, the subsequent sectarianism, the war against ISIS, and the ultimate triumph. The festival also involved honoring the families of the martyrs from the Popular Mobilization Forces, along with poetic recitations commemorating the heroic fighters and celebrating the joy of children. The students were advised to arm themselves intellectually and culturally for the ongoing ideological battles against extremism.
