The scientific symposium was held in the conference hall of the College, in which Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammad Khamis Al-Janabi lectured, where the content of the symposium was the most important criteria required to be implemented by scientific journals to enter the Scopus container, such as the number of foreign students in each number, as well as the number of citations required. Scientific journals and review of international experiences in accessing Scopus containers

At the end of the seminar, some recommendations were made stressing the need for all departments and colleges at Wasit University to cooperate to support scientific journals, whether by submitting scientific research, citing journals, or even supporting foreign researchers

Through these recommendations, the university’s role in developing scientific journals and increasing their influence and visibility in global academia is strengthened. These inter-college efforts can support scientific research and increase the visibility of research published in Scopus-absorbed journals, thus enhancing the University’s reputation and academic quality
