
The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at Wasit University organized a workshop on how to write scientific research.

The workshop, presented by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Saif Ali Al-Saadi, aimed to familiarize participating students with the latest scientific developments in the field of writing scientific research and graduation projects, and to highlight the correct practical practices of scientific methodology, as well as to enhance the reality of students’ research outputs. # The workshop covered the fundamentals of writing research according to sound scientific methodology, the mechanism of scientific citation, methods of dealing with electronic and traditional sources and referencing them, as well as selecting the idea, writing an introduction, problem statement, and research methodology to achieve accurate results, conclusions, and recommendations. # The workshop addressed modern methods adopted in writing scientific research, highlighting the main components of research and the correct methodology for writing undergraduate research, master’s theses, and doctoral dissertations, as well as scientific and research materials within the framework of studying research methodology according to scientific sources. The workshop recommended the necessity of encouraging graduate students to publish their research outputs in journals that are indexed in reputable databases, especially Scopus and Clarivate, to contribute to the university’s advancement in internationally recognized rankings.
