The workshop was attended by the respected Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Saif Ali Al-Saadi, along with a number of specialists, faculty members, and staff. The workshop, held in collaboration with the Civil Defense Directorate and conducted by Colonel Hani Mohsen, the Director of the Incident Response Team (BRN) at the Civil Defense Directorate in Wasit Province, aimed to highlight the importance of civil defense rules in dealing with fire incidents and disasters, and to emphasize their role in preserving lives and properties. The workshop reviewed the latest technologies used globally in the field of civil defense, explained the differences between types of fire extinguishers, and demonstrated the correct methods for their safe use to ensure safety and prompt extinguishment of fires. It recommended the necessity of cooperation with civil defense agencies in various emergency situations to minimize losses, installing electrical wiring for institutions in insulated pipes, and conducting inspection and testing of fire extinguishing devices to ensure their proper functioning.
