Rehabilitation ,employment and follow up unit:
Definition :It is an administrative formation entitled (Rehabilitation and Employment Unit) concerned with communicating with graduates and students of colleges in general and qualifying them to work through a number of programs and workshops as well as building bridges of dealing between the student and the job market represented by the government sector and the local and international private sector and marketing them , which makes this unit contribute to building an advanced society on which all state institutions are based to keep pace with practical developments and update the information provided to the student to develop his capabilities and employ a future service to the country.
General Objective:
The aim of the unit is to help graduates and students develop and build their self, scientific and practical applied capabilities and life skills in line with the job market, which gives them the opportunity to compete for jobs after graduation in both the public and private sectors locally or internationally and work to spread the culture of the importance of the private sector and alleviate the burden of the public sector.
Strategy of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit:
The unit’s strategy is to prepare specialized studies that contribute to identifying the strengths and weaknesses of graduates and their educational path and identifying areas of their opportunities in the job market.
Vision of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit: –
Develop and build the scientific, practical and personal skills and capabilities of students in line with the local and international requirements of the job market.
Objectives of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit:
1- Preparing scientific studies on the curricula that contribute to their development to ensure their suitability for the job market.
2- Communicating with the scientific and cognitive development taking place in the world.
3- Introducing the participants to the importance of the training unit.
4- Introducing the participant to the extent and strength of the trainee’s influence on the reputation of the institution and the extent of its production.
5- Communicating with the departments, scientific branches and scientific units within the college to obtain a working paper that includes the job market of each specialization within the public and private sectors.
6- Preparing and implementing training programs and workshops for students and graduates in line with the job market.
7- Opening channels of communication with government institutions and the private sector and building bridges of communication between graduates in various disciplines and the job market.
8- Follow-up students after their appointment in state institutions and the private sector and evaluate the extent to which their competencies are used.
The main tasks of the work of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit
The unit works to establish special courses in the following axes:
1- CV writing skills.
2- Time management skills, motivation and initiative.
3- Self-planning skills and self-confidence.
4 – English language development skills.
5 – skills to develop the use of computers and basic programs.
6- Establishing an electronic database within the follow-up system for students and graduates.
7- Interview skills.
Duties of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit:
1- Preparing electronic forms for the application of students or graduates to participate in qualifying programs.
2- Preparing databases for students and graduates wishing to enroll in rehabilitation and employment programs.
3- Preparing databases on institutions and private sector companies that include the institution’s activity, work sites, required specializations and contact points.
4- Preparing and implementing workshops and courses for the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit.
5- Preparing and implementing scientific training programs for students and graduates (practical application of scientific and academic aspects) in coordination and cooperation with public and private sector institutions
6- Preparing seminars, conferences and workshops that bring together students and graduates with the job market as well as teaching staff and educational staff in order to exchange ideas.
7- Preparing educational seminars and workshops consistent with the job market for the purpose of adopting professional methods for selecting graduates in line with the nature of the institution’s work
8- Preparing statistics that give indicators on the number of trainees, their specializations and the percentage of how many has been employed from them.
9- Follow-up students after their appointment in state institutions and the private sector in order to develop indicators that help in the development of curricula as well as a statement of the most demanded specializations within the job market.
