A ministerial committee mandated by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at Wasit  University to approve the establishment of the Department of Artificial Intelligence for Preliminary Studies in the College for the academic year 2022-2023.

The Ministerial Committee  was received by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Sinan Adnan Al-Shammari, who gave a full explanation of the importance of establishing this department.

The committee was briefed on the readiness of the development requirements of the Department of Artificial Intelligence with a scientific position in the area of development adopted by the university as part of its expanded renaissance plan, which continues to increase.

The Committee was also briefed on the necessary academic requirements for the development of the necessary classrooms in addition to the laboratories of the department as well as the teaching staff and its conformity with the required scientific specialization. 

At the end of the visit, the Ministerial Committee commended the College's provision of most of the conditions and requirements needed by the Department and the steady and sober steps that the College is going through, and this will be a reason to approve the development in the near future, and praised the warm reception by the Deanship of the College.
